At Willowbrook, we cultivate a vibrant learning community that fosters academic excellence alongside personal growth. We believe both are essential for students to thrive and achieve a fulfilling future.

Academic achievement provides a strong foundation and opens doors to future opportunities. We equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success, cultivating a love of learning that extends beyond textbooks. We utilize a strong language arts curriculum that encourages critical thinking, clear communication, and leadership skills. Additionally, we believe in the power of both classical and living books that bring subjects to life through depth and storytelling.

Personal development is equally important. We create a nurturing environment where students can discover their talents, build strong social connections, and develop a sense of self-discovery. We prioritize social-emotional learning and empower students to become well-rounded individuals.

In addition, we also value:

Faith and Wonder: We believe in fostering a sense of wonder and appreciation for the world around us. Our faculty share a belief in God.  We do not offer a religion class however some of our language arts unit studies are rich with nature, beautiful art, and literature supporting faith, character building, strong families and community bonds.

A Holistic Approach: We embrace a holistic approach to education, recognizing that academic success is just one piece of the puzzle. We nurture all aspects of a student so they can work towards a life that is well-grounded and happy.

Family First is a core principle, as strong family connections and values provide stability and support during adolescence. Family values can serve as a moral compass, guiding our teens toward making responsible and ethical choices.  We are aligned with families who possess conservative, traditional family values aligned with God.

We also emphasize the development of Strong Character so our teens become honourable stewards of society and our earth while fostering self-reliance and resilience. Our desire for self-reliance is rooted in our faith, as we believe that God calls us to be responsible stewards of our lives and resources recognizing the importance of both personal effort and divine grace.

Connection and Skills: We believe in connecting students to the world around them. We provide ample opportunity to learn about our planet from a scientific and artistic perspective, encouraging a sense of awe and wonder for nature. This connection to nature, along with Self-reliance skills learned through homesteading practices, prepare students for an ever-changing world. The Arts play an integral role in self-expression, creativity, and problem-solving, which are all essential life skills.
